Our new classroom

The whole Journey
In the past year the year 4-6 classrooms on our classroom block have had the wall knocked down in the middle and been renovated.
First the wall between room 5&6 was knocked down and they stayed in the behavior room. Next the wall between room 3&4 was knocked down and they stayed in the library. Lastly it was our classroom, we had to wait until room 3&4 had finished and then we moved into the library

The first move
On the last day of term 2 a couple of kids helped move the furniture into the library it was hard and it took around 2 blocks. Over the 2 week holidays our two teachers set up the furniture so when we got back the library was all set up. We stayed there for 6 weeks. It was very cramped.

The second move
On Tuesday an other couple of students stayed and helped move the things from the library to the new, built and freshly painted classroom. We got lots of new furniture such as a white board, cubbies for our bags and pencil cases and tables/chairs.
In our classroom we have some little rooms coming off where we can work quietly.

Thoughts and feelings
I really enjoy working in this big open space and to have nice little quiet areas to work in. I enjoy having 2 teachers because if one is busy i have another one to talk to. I like having 2x more people to work with. I think that the annoying things were that we had to wait a long time and it was loud and very dusty.

  1. Enjoy your new classroom! You were all very patient and you finally have a new modern space to spend the last weeks of Primary school. xx Mum (Sally)
