On Thursday all the year 3-6's went to the hall and learned how to play Chess.

Learning how to use educreations

Today Miss Chambers taught us how to use educreations on the i-pad. We wrote about the pacific islands and about our selves we took pictures of our work and recorded our voice.This is our draft so it is not compleatly finished.

Nervous

As I waited in the queue, my stomach started to flutter

Now it is your turn …

terrified	The rain was thundering loudly and the hail was plummeting to the ground like volcano rocks falling during an enormous volcano eruption and I was dreading walking back to school.
relieved	I wiped my brow as the boat began to lift up As it nearly capsized over.
proud	I stood straightly on top of the sailing boat after making it come nicely up after I had capsized the boat.
nervous	Butterflies fluttered around and around in my tummy and my legs where shaking uncontrollably as I stood in the line about to ride on the Sailing boat for the first time of 2015.
happy	By heart lifted and sunlight lit up my whole body and a big smile appeared across my face as I sailed swiftly across the water.

I remember poem

My Adventures at Camp Poem Remember the freezing cold water hitting you as you plummet into the dark murky waterhole. Remember the delicious taste of the chocolate ice cream melting slowly on your tongue. That was camp. Remember the noise of the girls in our dorm chattering quietly in the middle of the night. Remember the smell of the burning campfire roasting your marshmallows until they are warm and sticky.   That was camp Remember the smell as the bullet fiercely hit the target exploding dust everywhere. Remember the feel of the air blowing across your face as everything wizzed quickly past you zoomed across the zipline on the flying fox That was camp Remember the  yummy smell of the roast chicken wafting around the dining room. Buddy class

Buddy class it when one older class buddys up with a younger class eachof the children have  "buddies" someone who does work with them. The older class usually helps them with their work or they read stories together.

My buddy is my brothers best friend harry. His buddy is also my friend Ella.

So far we have read some stories together and asked him a few questions about himself it is fun to hang out with your buddy! 

Water wise

                                 

Last friday was the first water wise for 2015.

We walked down to the beach then we got into our 4 lines.

Next we went to our first activity "sailing" the wind was perfect and we were literally gliding across the water.

Our next activity was swimming, we got split into groups and then we had to swim up to a white boy. 

After that we all had a go jumping off the raft. Then we did something called the huddle it is when everyone puts their arms around each others shoulders while 1 person is in the middle, this supports the person in the middle .

Next we had morning tea.

After morning tea we did boat parts it is when we have to put all the names of the boat parts into the right places on the sheet.

Soon after that we went for the scavenger hunt.

Just as we were starting it it started to pour with rain we rushed to the Clubs shed.

I was lucky that my mum came and picked me up so I got to go home and get nice and dry while mosty everyone else had to go soaking wet back to school. 

That was a fun and wet water wise.

Aquatics day

A few days ago we went to stanmore bay pools for aquatics day.

First the year 5 went to do some swimming tests while the year 6's went and played a few games in the gym. Next we went to the swimming pool and did half of the races, (freestyle) Then the year 6's had some free time in the pool. Soon after we had lunch. After lunch we had the rest of the races. Next we did the class relays. I wasn't in the relays but I competed in the freestyle fun races. 

It was an awesome day.
