This week I have been learning about measurement and shapes.
I have learned about how to measure the area and perimeter.
I learned how to work out the area and perimeter of each building using a ruler. I also learned how to add the length, width, volume and height together.
The trickiest part was working out the grass and the area and timing it by $3 for each square meter because we had to split up the grass into small pieces and then add all the totals together not using the calculator. I found out that grass costs a lot of money!

I enjoyed choosing the place where I put the shed the pond the sand pit and the deck because it got me thinking where each thing would be safe if they had kids but still easy to get to.
Next time I am going to make the pond closer to the house. I am also going too add extra things like a swing set and a spa pool.
