For inquiry we had to do tasks which I wrote about in other posts. This is about task 4:
For task 4 we had to make a script this is our script:
Purple=Stella
Pink=Courtney
Red=Together
Green=Tiger
Today we are broadcasting in a rainforest searching for the critically endangered South China tiger.
We have been told that they are possibly extinct in the wild and we want to find the tiger to prove them wrong.
In the 1950s there was a population of 4,000 individual South China Tigers but they were hunted as pests,
ROAR i’m not a pest!!! did you know that our species will be extinct in less in 10 years!
OMG i think we just heard a south china tiger!
lets go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(As we are running) Anyway, by 1996 the population was estimated to be just 30-80 individual tigers.
The Chinese government banned hunting south china tigers in 1979 to save their population.
WOW! thats not a lot of south china tigers and that was only 19 years ago!
Look over there.
Its a south china tiger!
Wooooo hooooo we found it!
Look, he is eating something
Do you think it's a cow?,
Yes, did you know that the South China Tiger’s main prey is deer, cattle and wild boar.
No, I guess you learn something new every day.
Well, tune in next time to find out more about this amazing animal!!!!!!
Bye, Bye
Then we had to make a plan for our movie:
1
We will be peaking over the top of the bush introducing what we are doing the documentary about.
We will be wearing something like a jumper over our school top.
|
2
We will be walking into the bushes looking for the tiger.
Hold binoculars up to eyes
|
3
We will find the tiger and see it eating cow.
Then we will sit next to it and say the tune back next time part
|
What we need to bring
- Sun hat
- Binoculars
- Jumper or explorer clothes
- Stuffed Tiger & cow
This is our movie:
