Limerick

We have been learning how to make limerick poems

Walt: Write an limerick

Once there was an cat
Who was enemies with an bat
One night they had a fight
They hit each other with all their might
Until they met a wise rat

They are happy now
But sometimes they have a row
When that happens they are mad
When it stops they are glad
When you hear this you will say wow!

A limerick is a poem which the first, second and fifth line have to Rhyme.
The third and fourth line have to rhyme and it has to be funny.
It does not have to make sense.
