We got lots of great information from a book about thunder and lightning.
Then we did a KWL in our group this is it:

- That thunder and lightning
happens during a storm.
- Lightning is made out of static electricity.
- You know how far away if you count the seconds away from the lightning.
- If you get hit by lightning you can get electrocuted and get really hurt

- How does lightning get made and where does the electricity come from?
- Why does the USA have more thunderstorms than us?
- Can you use lighting give power to things?

- That during a thunderstorm you should not use electric things taps and sinks and even `TV’s because the erieal attracts lightning.
- You know that there is going to be an thunderstorm when it is an humid day and when the clouds are billowing and becoming black .
- Metal objects get attracted to lighting and it you are under something metal you can get electrocuted.
- Positive and negative energy go together and makes lighting.
